After Nokia, Samsung is the second largest cellular phone maker in the world and they are followed by a series of manufactures such as LG Electronics and Fujitsu. It seems as though everyone in the world has a cellular phone these days, and that estimation may not be that far from the truth. On a planet whose population is just above 6.5 billion people, there are estimated to be over 4 billion cell phones in service right now. That means that nearly 75% of the world owns a cell phone. Of course, some of these numbers include people that have multiple phone services, but it is still staggering to think that there are over 4 billion cellular phones in service around the world today. One of the first casualties of the rise in cellular phones was the pay phone industry. It used to be that a pay phone could be found on almost every street corner, and now they are becoming very difficult to find. But if you got one, you can do alot of things with it. As the functionality of cell phones increases, so does the amount of important information people store on them.
