The bottom line with 3G technology is that it allows faster access to the internet. It is estimated that the top end of a 3G network can attain speeds not unlike a standard DSL connection. People should be able to expect the same download speeds on their 3G Iphone that they enjoy on their new laptop or desktop computer with a wifi connection. This opens up a wide array of possibilities for the new 3G Iphone. The 3G Iphone does have some drawbacks that future generation Iphones will need to improve on. The first limitation is the current restricted connectivity to 3G.
